Privacy
Bright Path Scholar is a private family project, not a public service. This page explains how it handles information.
What is stored
For each invited student: their profile (grades, activities, essays and similar details they choose to add), their scholarship list and notes. This public site itself holds no student information.
Who can see it
Each student sees only their own information. The site's owner can invite or remove students but cannot read their profiles. A student can choose to share their screen or copied answers with a parent or helper.
What it never does
- It never stores or fills passwords, Social Security numbers, or bank or card details.
- It never submits an application or accepts terms on a student's behalf.
- It does not sell or share student information.
The assistant
When a student uses the helper or the one-click fill, the details needed for that request are sent to Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, to match fields or suggest edits. Sensitive items are used only when the student and a parent choose to use them for a specific application.
